Hi...

If i've recently (within the last week) downloaded the iso of 7.0 from Red Hat's site, does it contain all the patches, bugfixes, and security patches that are listed on the RH website?

Or, do I need to download all of those as well?

Does anyone know of an ftp site that will collect all these fixes into a downloadable RPM? Sorta like those service packs for NT and such?

thanks!

Hungarian,

thanks for the tip...

did just that, retrieved the files, and when up2date went to install the files, I got a console error message that the server timed out...happened many times.

did a little poking about in the man pages on rpm, and found the -U option...

went in the directory of the downloaded updates and did a rpm -U -v for the files that up2date retrieved.

Q:
does up2date have to complete this process, or is it possible to update them all manually like i just did...
and..

if not, did I honk something up? seems to be working...
if I need to re-install it's ok, since I'm just experimenting at this point.

thanks!

Bill
