You may try to fix your ME by using your "Emergency Boot" Disk/CD, but you may have to re-install Windows ME.

Try using LoadLin instead of Lilo. LoadLin now supports Windows ME by adding a patch to ME. The patch is installed into ME via an "Install-Shield" patching tool which makes the patching operation nearly "goof-proof".

Caution: You MUST follow ALL of the directions !

Click here (http://www.linux.sh) for LoadLin and the Windows ME patch.

I had no problems. (i posted this in another string)

The main setback was my Balls. I just didnt have any. but when they finally dropped, i did it, and had no problems.
My WinME was installed before my linux... and my drive was already partitioned.. maybe that had something to do with it.

You probably haven't lost windows. You can use a windows bootdisk to boot the machine to an a: prompt then type fdisk /mbr this will remove lilo from the master boot record. note this will also loose linux unless you a bootdisk for linux. You can also try to run /sbin/lilo as root this may fix the problem also.

You need a boot disk for windows to remove lilo from the boot-up... type fdisk /mbr

Then, in order to get linux workin again, u have to have a bootdisk for it... if windows doesn't work, and you are going to use fdisk /mbr, make sure you create a boot disk from linux before you issue this command so you do not have to mess to much with getting LILO back on there.
