Use a bootable msdos disk with fdisk on it and run the command fdisk /mbr. That will restore your MBR.

One more question. Is there any danger to my system using that command? Will my system still boot up. Sorry for all these newbie questions but thats how you learn

That command will only reformat your mbr to how it was before linux. So no it won't damage our system at all. It will still boot up like normal, into windows if you have that also installed.

In future, don't install to the MBR. This can be unsafe. Install your boot loader to a bootable partition.

fdisk /mbr will only reset the mbr to it's original default state (the way it is supposed to be).

Thanks for the help. I did what was said and I couldn't boot windows or linux. I finally had to use an ol floppy disk I had with some hard drive utilites on it. Now I'm back up and running
