After switching form eDesktop 2.4 to Mandrake 7.2 encounter nothing but problems. I wanted to try drake 7.2 to see if it could get my CD writer going. It did can burn cds now stright out of the box. Things I encounter though is during install slected option to turn on num lock key but didnt happen, no big deal. Selected option to start hdparm for for HD DMA and 32-bit I/O. Didnt work but fix it manualy by adding settings to rc.local start up script. On printing a test page during the install test page look great. But actualy looks like crap when printing a image or text after install. But perty much fix that by playing around with cups.

Now heres my main problem I told drake I had a ps2 ms intellimouse with the scroll wheel during the install, but but when I go to drakconf it shows a standard ps2 mouse. Every time a make the change it dosent stick. Whats the trick to getting my mouse configure correctly. I need some help soving this problem as mouse acting weird. Its usable but could be configured better. I tried runing XF86Setup but that dosent work. Other then that drake seems to be ok will problay stay with it do it easily setup on my cd writer.

Thanks

Sorry, don't have an answer for your mouse problem.

Just in case you need the procedures to setup a CDwriter in eDesktop 2.4, try this http://support.calderasystems.com/caldera/solution?11=000515-0030&130=0958419440&14=0&2715=&15=7&2716=&57=faq&58=&2900=ywfd5CrSMd&25=6

There's also another one here http://linux.nf/stepbystep.htm

I had no problems getting mine to work.

I had the same problem. When I selected the logitech mouse that I have it still says that I have a standard ps/2 mouse, but if I restarted X I got my scroll and third button to work, so even though it only lists it that way it seems to work out.
