mplayer as default

Ok I got Mplayer installed alright, but the only way to get a vid to use it is to open with and type mplayer. It is not in any of the menus, and it doesn't show up if you just type mplayer in run. Anyone know whats up with that? I would also like to make it my default vid player. How do I do that?

if you want the gui try running gmplayer.

I suppose you are using KDE because you have the "run" command in the menu.

To make it your default player, open up Control Center --> KDE Components --> File Associations, select the video options, then enter mplayer/gmplayer for the desired formats.
