As you can see from the Subject line I have no idea what is Debian's installation asking me for. I do not have Rescue Floppy. Have I done something wrong during the partitioning of HD.Thxs.

I do not have Rescue Floppy. Have I done something wrong during the partitioning of HD.Thxs. error27 10-31-2001, 11:14 PM I confused by your question. Try rephrasing. If you have debian installed type "mkboot /vmlinuz" (The command line params for mkboot used to be different if I remember correctly, so if that doesn't work type "man mkboot") GugglingBlister 11-01-2001, 12:30 AM Thxs for reply..I apologize for not explaining but I am doing a clean install for the first time of Debian. Now When I boot up from the cd ( which I burn from the .iso at http://linuxiso.org/) and follow the installation instructions which just goes fine to the point where it is asking me for rescue floppy. I have burned 3 .iso images into cds but no floppies.. My senses telling me that perhaps I am not using a correct Installation .iso. Man I am confused here. RH or Corel was not so bad installing after all. bdg1983 11-01-2001, 06:29 AM Are you sure it's not asking you to CREATE a rescue disk during the install? justlinux.com
