I have now been running make for Mozilla for nearly an hour and a half, and it is still going... Is it possible that I have a bug in the tarball I downloaded, or does it take half an eternity to install this browser?

But you know, if you surf the internet or do anything else "resource-consuming" while compiling, the make will take a little longer. :) The time it takes to compile from source varies greatly from program to program. For me, compiling BlackBox and Eterm took under a minute each (literally), but compiling WINE took half an hour. If you know that a certain program takes a long time to compile, and you really can't afford to waste a lot of time, then just use a package manager. :D peez ;) Malakin 10-31-2001, 10:40 PM mozilla takes a *long* time to compile. I ended up running it when I went to sleep last time. justlinux.com
