problems installing Savage in Gentoo

I bought the box version of Savage and took it home to install it, but alas the included loki-installer wont work. I get an error saying that it wont support glibc-2.1. I checked what version I have installed and it says glibc-2.3.2. Anyone know what could be causing this problem or know of a work-around for this?

problem solved...had to have M$ joliet support compiled into the kernel.
