is there any way to turn off the montior's power save feature in X? i can't seem to find anything by searching. thanks a lot.

If you are using KDE you can use the KDE Control Center. I am sure it would depend on what desktop environment you are using.

i'm using blackbox...i can't find anything in its settings for it though.
