programs loading on X window startup

I have somehow managed to have 6 terminal screens, 3 web browser windows and 1 text document load when X windows starts.. Anyone know how I can get this to stop?? Its quite aggrivating to wait for these programs to load and kill them all before I can working.

I'm pretty sure you saved the session. Once you log out or shutdown, uncheck the "Save session?".

i do recall sing a Saved Session dialog box popup.. I'll check it out when I get home.. thanks

ok i closed all those programs and when I rebooted I checked the SAVE SESSION box and when it rebooted the programs no longer loaded..
