Looking for resources on these bootloaders looking to do a setup to boot WinXP , Mandrake 9.2 and Slackware.
New to linux so need to do some reading before I start, my system is fully backed up so not worried about data loss.

Open a terminal and enter the commands 'man lilo' and 'man grub' for basic information. 'info lilo' and 'info grub' may give more information. Or, do a web search for 'Zen and the Art of Using Grub' for the best grub document I've found. I don't use lilo, but there may be similar documents floating around.

The November and December 2003 issues of Linux Magazine have a quite good article on GRUB (a two-parter).
I just picked up the December issue, but unfortunately left it at work. Your local newsstand might have it.

Here's the GRUB manual, online:
http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/html_mono/grub.html
The November and December 2003 issues aren't on the online database yet, however, there was a rather good review of GRUB in a previous Guru Guidance column.

GRUB is still setup on my P.C. to dualboot into SuSE 8.1 or Win98, but I really haven't touched Win98 or GRUB in a long time now.
