NVidia Drivers

I installed the previous Mandrake 8.0 drivers for 8.1....changed "nv" to "nvidia" and added "Load "glx"" in my XF86Config....when I save and log out and log back in to see if the settings took place. I get NVidia drivers error. I go back into XF86 and change "nvidia" back to "nv" and I come back in no problems. Any idea how to get the old drivers install properly or is NVIDIA coming out with a pair up updated ones soon? Any help would be appreciated. Thx D|s

You can't use the old rpms for a new distro because of the kernel differents. If anything download the tar.gz files. If you want to install a rpm then download the src.rpm and rebuild them, but remember to uninstall your old RPMs files. :D

Ex.

$ rpm --rebuild Nvidia-Kernel.src.rpm
