I was wondering if anyone can assist me with qmail-smtpd. This service is the only one I am having trouble with. I got qmail-pop3d and qmail-send going but smtp will not run. I have tried creating the run file several time just to make sure that there is not a typo in there. I have tried telneting to x.x.x.x 25 to verify nothing else is running on this port, which there wasn't.

Can anyone please give me some ideas on how to troubleshoot this.

Make sure nothing is allready listening on port 25.

I had the same problem. indetd was listening on port 25 preventing smtpd from starting.
