I've finished compiling 2.4.1 for the express reason of getting my ppp services to work. I made sure that I had selected Networking support, TCP/IP, etc., during configuration.
Yet when I boot the system and then try to connect to my ISP, it immediately disconnects. My logs state that the pppd died immediately and suggest doing a 'modprobe -v /usr/sbin/pppd'. Results-- "not found".
Did I miss something obvious? Or maybe something not so obvious?
My steps between compile and attempting to connect were setting up my dialup configuration and using kppp to enter all of the settings. Nothing else so far.
