I hope this subject havent been brought up earlier, I searched the forum and didn't find anything etc so here it goes.

I was just wondering when we willsee 2.6.0 "stable" ? Like no more -test.

It's test11 now, and as I could understand from an post on kerneltrap or something there might be a test12 also, but I've promised myself not to swith to 2.6 before it is stable because my system is fine now and I'll just hate myself if I screw it up.

So does anyone have some more info than me wether or not we will see stable before/after x-mas etc?

I read somewhere, can remember where at the moment, that test11 was going to be tested for a few weeks and if there are no problems then it will be the final. I think in the same artical that Linus said that it might be mid-december time

Sweet, I think that Linus also said that another guy will be in charge for test11 a little while, let's not hope he is to paranoid :)

A little rain in the sunshine:
At www.kerneltrap.org , it was discussed at what point the 2.6 would truly be stable. 2.4 apparently wasn't picked up by redhat until 2.4..2- "with a lot of patches applied".
The name of 2.6.test11? "Beaver in Detox"
