Dear LNO people,
I have been thinking to use Windows 2000 instead win98 for stability's sake. ALthough I have experienced no problems while using Linux for almost 1 and a half years, my little brother always wants to use Windows, so I have to give in. Well enough of the personal matter, I would like to ask how to use loadlin with windows 2000? I do not have a partition magic or boot magic. I use Red Hat 6.2 (very good distro). Please give me some advice on this.

Windows is going to want to install into your Master boot record. Since Windows is not very well behaved it always assumes that there is no other OS on your computer. SO I'm not sure how to put Windoze on a linux box without fubarring your Linux installation.

Even if you were to Partition magic it then all your drive mappings would be wrong.

However, if you were able to put Windows 2K AND Linux on without messing up your LInux install then this link: http://www.littlewhitedog.com/reviews_other_00011.asp
tells how to dual boot the two using the Windows Loader.

couldn't you just load win2k and let it install to the MBR, then boot into Linux with your boot disk, and reinstall lilo to the MBR. Is that possible, dont see why not..
