with win98, my card can do true color with 800*600. when i installed linux6.2, i tried
800*600, 16bit, but failed, and it can only do 460*680, 16bit. can i chang my display just as in win98, that is 800*600 16 bit or
ture color , 800*600? but how! thanks in advance! :confused:

Try pushing ctrl alt + when in X. This should toggle through available screen modes. If 800x600 is not available, or when you want to make it the default resolution, try exiting X and using xf86config.

Open KDE control center. Click on COAS (on OpenLinux box,anyway), then click on X server, then video mode. Select the video mode you want, and click ok. :D
