At the risk of sounding stupid, I was wondering whether or not it was safe to manually edit my paritions using DiskDrake? I run Drake 8.0, and would like to delete my entire Windows paritition, and resize my Linux partition to take up the entire drive. Is it safe for me to do this using DiskDrake, or am I totally stupid? ;)

First off...don't assume your question is stupid. If it is, others will let you know that.
Secondly, Disk Drake is actually half decent to use (at least as far as I know from my own experience with it). If you are going to delete an entire partition and just create a Linux partition - DiskDrake is more than competent for that.
Just make sure, however, that you back up any material that you would not want to lose (MP3's, documents, whatever), just in case something goes wrong. Other than that, give it a try.

Trashing Windows huh?!! WOO HOO!
Something else us linux users find kinda fun..microwave that Windows CD!
Or just use it as a frisbee (from the top of a very high building)
