LICQ?

Has anyone else gotten booted off of ICQ lately? I went to sleep last night and I was on N/A just like every other night. Woke up this morning and I was disconnected. I tried multiple times to log back on but to no avail. According to the network window, LICQ kept opening a connection to the server, and then timing out after 10 seconds. I just booted into windows and ICQ works fine. Anyone else have this problem or know what it might be?

I think I've gotten kicked off recently. The entire AIM network has been flaky the past week. It might have something to do with that. You can get online now, right?

I'm back online now, but that was really weird. The whole service just wouldn't respond. I even went so far as to give it a reboot! My ppp connection was working fine cause I was browsing...LICQ just wouldn't work :( I booted into windows for the day, came back at the end of it and went back into linux and it worked. Go figure.

That crap always happens to me.. It happens on the ICQ side.

Sometimes the licq_fifo gets corrupted. If you can't connect, close licq, then delete the licq_fifo which is in "home"/.licq, then try reconnecting. This approach usually works for me. :)
