I have a laptop with a wired nic, an onboard (broadcom) wireless card, and a PCMCIA wireless card. The reason for 2 wireless card is because until recently, there has been no support for the broadcom card (linuxant now supports it). I have the driver all loaded when I do lsmod. But when I boot I get an eth0 (wired) and an eth1. Right now, linux thinks my wireless card is eth0, which should be my wired card. Sometimes I will go into redhat-config-network and weird stuff will be listed (check the pic). What I need is for each NIC to be working at boot, but only my broadcom card attempting to obtain an IP address.

Here are my cards

Broadcom 4401 using bcm4400 module (wired) eth0
Broadcom 43xx (aka Dell truemobile 1300) using driverloader (linuxant) eth2
Proxim Gold 8420 using beta driver wlags49_h2_cs eth1
