I am trying to install SuSE OpenExchange Server 4.0 from the distro CD's onto a new server which uses an Adaptec SATA RAID AAR-2410SA controller. When the system boots it is unable to detect the hard drives and won't allow me to perform the installation. If I could locate a driver module, I would be able to load it prior to install, but as of yet, I have been unsuccessful in a search for a driver module.
Does anyone know where I can locate a driver module for United Linux 1.0 or SuSE Linux OpenExchange Server 4.0? If not, any siggestions on how to create one? I have never created a driver before.
Adaptec is mailing me a CD containing the SuSE Linux 8.1 drivers in RPM format and in soruce format. How can I compile the source to create a usable driver?
Please help. I have to get this up and running ASAP.
