Tonight on the Screensavers they showed an app called Moby Dock for Windows. It makes an application dock like the one in OSX, you know, where the icons kind of jump out at you when you mouse over them. Is there such a thing for KDE/Gnome? Sure would be cool.

There's a program called Karamba for KDE that has many Dock-like themes, and another program called Ksmoothdock... both of which can be attainable from www.kdelook.org. For Gnome there's a themeable program called Gdesklets... I'm not sure if it has a dock theme or not.

Yes, Karamba, the scripted resource eater.
ksmoothdock is pretty good.

It doesn't do quite the same dock zoom effect, but it also doesn't gob resources or screen space.
