ps -A stopped working?!

On Red Hat 6.2, one minute the command "ps -A" works fine, then all of a sudden it keeps giving me

"unrecognized option or trailing garbage", then lists the usage, which A is now left out of...

ps -a works fine, but i need the ps -A to see all processes.

This all happened while installing apache/php/mysql

any ideas?

I think you need to do it without the hyphen. I'm not sure if/when this changed but I noticed this myself a few days ago.
