Hey all,

I went through a "let's see what the Debian Installer looks like" run last night and things went great! People make it seem a lot harder than it really is... 5 minutes of searching on google to tell what drivers I needed and I was able to get almost everything working, but I'm gonna go through it again tonight, to pick and choose only stuff I want

but anyways, two questions:

when working on my sources.list file, how do I tell apt that I want to download (say, for example) KDE 2.1 from the KDE server, and not KDE from debian's server? I understand that I just have to add the URL into my list, but how do I specify which URL to use for what I want to get?

and second, I've got a 3 button PS/2 Logitech Trackman Marble (no wheel) how do I get it working (ie, what driver do I use?)

Thanks all,
Bill

PS: I'm really looking forward to Debian (I even read up on the multi-partition NHF to feel extra 1337 ;o)

First answer:
AFAIK, whichever version is highest gets installed.

Second answer:
Just point all apps that want to know about the mouse to /dev/psaux and tell them to use a PS/2 driver.
(Assuming you're doing a default install, and GPM is installed, ou could try pointing them to /dev/gpmdata . I've tried this with not-so-good results, so I just point them at the actual mouse device.)

[Edit: dumb typo]
