I'm so "fortunate" to have a laptop without either a floppy-drive or a CD-ROM drive. I have been googling and searching these forums for a way to do some sort of network boot to another computer or copy an installation CD to a new partition and make it bootable.
I found nothing I could use really (or comprehend?) and i thought it was time for a post. How does loadlin.exe work, and would i be able to do an install directly from Windows ME (that OS is making me crazy).
An external drive would be an option, but money is short at the moment, and I don't know anyone with one  .

Thanks for reading none the less.

[Solution]

I got another guy to explain to me how to boot of my network card, and it sounds fairly easy. If someone wants to know how it went, just post here.

In bios does your laptop's mobo support network boot?
