problems with ./configure

while trying to compile xmms i got the following error message: configure: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check
I dont know what to do now. Please help.

What distro are you using?

This could be a problem with the version of GCC loaded on your system.

Check the XMMS site to see if they recomend a certain version of GCC to compile XMMS.

If using a RPM based distro get an RPM for your system.

I know there is a slackpack for XMMS.
