dvd, or just mpg files. audio plays, vido wont. ive installed mpeg2dec and mpg123 to try and use to decode. OMS tells me that it cant open the video plugin... any ideas?

I did try root, and i have RH7 with 2.4.2 kernel and XFree86 4.0.2 (and all packages actually ive updated.

How is your display set up? I can play avi and mpg files at 16bit but it does not play at 24bit. :)

im using 16bit at 1280, also tried other sizes and tried 8 bit color.
