linux firewall/gaming

OK, I have a p200 I am going to make a linux box, use it as a firewall for my cable modem, I am KINDA green with linux, But know drake pretty well, ANYWAY....I am a hardcore WIN. game nut, will this cause any lag on my end and/or am I waisting time???

I'm the same way, too many good games for Windows right now...maybe Linux will be like this in a few years? :)

same setup also, but mine was a K6-2 450 (now a 1.4ghz XP, but nevermind that :))...no, I haven't seen any increase in latency (at most 3ms) running though a Linux gateway (just another hop as far as your system is concerned)
