I'm running RH9. When I launch gdmconfig (as root) I get a window with this error message

Cannot find the glade interface description file, cannot run gdmconfig. Please check your installation and the location of the gdmconfig.glade file

slocate gdmconfig.glade return nothing. It does not exist on my system. I reinstalled gdm but the file doesn't even come in this package. Google return no usefull information. Where do I get this file from. And why is it that if gdm NEEDS this file, how come it is not included in the package

i looked at the contents of the rpms
(i don't use gdm)
and getting the some 45 packages that are gnome to work together is a mystery even with experience.

it seems the older version
gdm-2.2.3.1-23.i386.rpm
has:
/usr/share/gdm/gdmconfig.glade

the version in rh9
(this is from the mandrake rpm - info on rh rpm hard to find)
gdm-2.4.1.3-5.i386.rpm
has:
/usr/share/gdm/gdmsetup.glade

could be a bug in the package
looking for the old file name
i think i'd see if there is a newer version ..
looks like on rpmfind.net there is a file called
gdm-2.4.1.3-5.1.i386.rpm
labled as: Red Hat Linux 9 Updates for i386

good luck
