print screen?

hi, can someone tell me how to use print screen in linux? in windows i can press it then paste the image into photoshop or whatever program. how would i do something similar in linux? thanks.

nevermind.....after a while of using GIMP i just finally saw the 'aquire' option. anyway, does the print screen button able to be set to do what it does in windows?

In KDE you can set it up as a shortcut (usually ctrl-printscrn) under (in 3.1) Control Center --> Accessibility --> Keyboard Shortcuts.

In GNOME, err. Not sure. /me ist not ze GNOME person.

In Openbox (what I usually use) I have epist bind it to a script that does the screenshot thing for me.
