XFree 3.3 on a Debian 3.0

I've just installed Debian 3.0 on my laptop which is a Thinkpad 365XD (120MHz/24Mb ram).
Unfortunately, XFree > 4 do not work on thinkpad and I had to remove XFree and search for a previous version (I found ).
I found all .deb of the folder x_11 for the "slink", 2.1 r5 distro at

http://archive.debian.org/debian-archive/

but I have no idea of what packages have to be installed.

On Deb 3.0 you simply

apt-get install x-window-system

but I did not found an equivalent metapackage for the distro files I downloaded.

any suggestion?

Put X 4.x back on (you will need the libs, etc. for apps) then install just the X server you need for your card from a 3.3.x X install. Converting the deb to a tarball wiht alien then extracting and copying the proper file to the location would be the thing to do.
