i want to have i domain like
quebec-crew.cstrike.org

do i need to paid for a domain for my machine?

can i use somehtign else then localhost.localdomain?
i am a linux noobs (not a computer noobs)

No, you don't have to pay for a domain name for your box. But to change that you need to run 'netconfig' I believe, or something similar. At least thats the program I use in slackware to configure my localhost/domain name.

what distro are you using?
