I haven't run Linux in a long time, partly because I found the interface, well, kind of clunky and complicated (sorry, flame away if you so feel the need :)) Anyway, Enlightenment is looking pretty sexy, anyone use it? Just wondering what people around here think about it. Bad, good, annoying, easy to use, resource hog, whatever, just curious what people have expierenced using it.

Well, sorry, but I haven't used Enlightenment, so, my reply is not exactly an answer to your post.
HOWEVER...
I do agree with you when you say that Linux interfaces at first seem clunky. They really do. But...once I started looking deeper into the system and saw how well Linux handled everything, I got used to it. (Which is half the battle.) Linux is great. I have been running 10 days straight, no reboot. ;-) Very very nice.

Well partly because I'm looking at Linux again is because the interface IS becoming less clunky. The last version I ran was linux mandrake 5.0, and what I've heard is that they have greatly improved ease of use since then. Since I'm a graphics designer, I got have my desk top look cool, enlightenment might be a good alternative to say a Mac, or XP. Also A few years back running any type of Windows app, was near impossible without shelling out big bucks for some kind of windows emulation program. However, I guess Wine has greatly imporved in the last few versions. That and Win Xp, pisses me off with all the security holes (raw sockets, what the hell?). So I'm going to try Mandrake, with enlightenment. I'm just wondering what I'm getting into... again :).
