I want to try Suse Linux 7.3 but I don't want to use the Live-Eval nor shell out $80. Is there a way to download it and burn it to CD?

When they do, you can install by downloading 2 or 3 floppies and choose FTP when installing. You can always look for an online retailer which distribute copies for a few bucks. Or, like myself, just do an FTP install of 7.2. I don't know if the last will be an option for you. You may already have 7.2, I didn't. Thanks for the input. milanuk 11-20-2001, 06:29 PM As a rebuttal to one of the above posts: a) You cannot buy cheap versions of SuSE Linux from anyone anymore, other than the 'Live Demo' CD, since after v.7.0. At least not legally. Bites, but thats the way it is. b) SuSE 7.3 has been out on ftp for a week or so now. The mirrors are probably still getting hammered, though. I myself have a boxed set, but no DVD drive, so I plan on mirroring the appropriate parts for network installs at home (at least, thats the plan). Monte dhyatt 11-20-2001, 08:04 PM I don't see any Suse 7.3 ISO files on the FTP...where are they if any? thedexman 11-20-2001, 08:13 PM Just do a net install, no need for ISOs milanuk 11-20-2001, 08:22 PM Originally posted by dhyatt: I don't see any Suse 7.3 ISO files on the FTP...where are they if any? That's the point. SuSE stopped putting out the free ISO's several releases ago. And since the core of what makes SuSE SuSE, yast, is not free software and requires their permission to copy and whatnot, you aren't going to see any legitimate iso's or burned CD's of SuSE anymore.
