RedHat 8.0 not working w/ Microsoft Keyboard

OK, Have same problem. New machine, same HD, new install, same keyboard, same mouse, but at login my keyboard doesnt work. Mouse is fine, just keyboard. All lights off.

Any ideas? Oh, and no, its not a USB.

I've never known MS keyboards to give people a hard time, I assume you know this keyboard is in working order? I know it's kind of a lame response but you might wanna run down to your local wal-mart and pick up another one that isnt MS. Wish I could be of more help for someone that lives just a few miles north of me (assuming you mean jacksonville florida and not jacksonville georgia or whatever)

The Keyboard is in working order. Just finished Jedi Academy w/ it =). The deal is I got a new machine, kept the old hardware. I had this thing running the way I wanted it, but the dual boot wouldnt come up. So I set BIOS to boot on CD. Reloaded RH, and now the keyboard wont work. Microsoft keyboard worked when I had it going the first time. Hopefully I will figure it out... or I could just wait until Mandrake comes in the mail this week =)

One of these days I am going to understand this OS... or die trying.

Reinstalled. Keyboard works fine now. Very very odd. Next tuesday I will be internet capable so I play more with it. Just feels good to have it back on there for something to learn off of.

Nope. Heard about it, but kinda reluctant to join up due to my EXTREME lack of knowledge.
