So, does anyone have any segestions on how i can save myself, or am i super screwed? error27 11-19-2001, 07:54 PM is there a status-old file? you could try copying that to the right file. just out of curiosity, why did you delete the file? you could try asking that on #debian irc.debian.org perhaps... or maybe there is a data recovery that you can use but I don't think so on ext2. there may be other possible solutions. wait for a couple responses and think through things before you change anything. Gaccm 11-20-2001, 04:58 AM i have a status-old file from 2 days ago, so thats good. But, i tried replacing it, the problem is that before all this, my apt-get stopped working, whenever i updated, it would give me an error when parsing /var/lib/dpkg/status. I tried moving the status file and making a empty replacement and it worked, except that the system then thought i had no .debs installed. justlinux.com
