I think they are sleeping.
I myself have been trying to get an email server running.
Sendmail seems way to complicated, Qmail I almost got to work, and postfix has been recommended to me numerous times. I will try postfix next. Alot of peeps here lean towards Qmail. U just have to make sure u have the latest of everything to build the latest Qmail version. I found that glibc-2.3.2 or higher(i think thats the number) must be installed to complete the build. If ya have any luck with any of them, PLEASE let me know who, what, where, when and how. ;) good luck

Hehe...same situation. :)
Yeah i'll definitely share anything i find. Here is a little guide on Postfix. It's more a conversation on a thread with a noob like us and he got a lot of help.

I haven't tried Qmail and don't plan on doing so either unless Postfix is impossible. I haven't really ran into too man "impossibles" in regards to linux as of yet. The only other one was the FTP server that didnt' work. :( Im using SSH instead and im loving it. Glad I didn't install FTP. :)
I hope they wake up soon! :D
