TurboLinux 6.1 my mouse sits in the corner cant move it. Power down try again , get into KDE everthing moves really slowly mouse barely moves. Log onto Internet screen moves so slowly cant get anything done. So im sending this from an Internet cafe. Im the poster that installed rcf-5.1 but that was a few days ago so that cant be it. What else could be causing things to run so slowly ??
Also I get black belts across my screen refreshing helps a little. Ive had my running now for a couple of weeks it is alot slower than windows but today it has vertually ground to a halt.
Any suggestions welcome.

wish i could be more help, but i don't use X much at the moment, so all i can add is

have you stepped through the information on configuring X?

x config NHF (http://www.linuxnewbie.org/nhf/intel/x-windows/xf86config.html)

Are you using a no-name brand graphics card?
Has it always been like this?
When does it start? As soon as you start KDE or when you load a mammoth program like staroffice?

Do you hear lots of crunching hard drive access? Try the command top and see whats running at the top of the list.

Sorry for all the questions, but I seen posts like this,
" everthing moves really slowly mouse barely moves. Log onto Internet screen moves so slowly cant get anything done "

and I wonder why myself.
