wine builds font metrics every time, takes ages.

Hi,

every time i try to run a windows app under wine, it builds the font metrics. This takes about 20 minutes a go!

Apparantly, its only supposed to build font metrics each time the fonts change, or wine is reinstalled etc... but it runs it each time.

I copied over my windows fonts a while back, and they all work fine in linux, but this is the first time i have used wine since - could this be related? Please could someone help me stop it!

I am using the latest rpm of wine - im going to try the CVS if nothing else helps, but on my 450mhz PII thats about 2 hours worth of compiling!

okay, done a little more research on the matter.

Apparantly, one of the TTF fonts is causing problems, and so wine disregards all its cached data and redoes the metrics.

So i now ask, does wine store any log files, so that i can find out which is the offending font, and delete it? I cant seem to find any!
