does kudzu give you this error? or does ot come up while your kernel is booting? is this an external hardware modem or a win modem? and what is the make and model?
hi ,
i think it is kudzu that is detecting this ,right after this ,updating /etc/fstab ... etc....
The modem is external PC LIne V92 hardware modem
also sometimes the same thing happens with printer removing printer.....keep config or do nothing !

so do you want to disable kudzu? when it comes up do you get an option saying keep configuration?
