hello all :)

I have a quite lame problem...lol

I got slackware 8.0 and win2k
and I would like to mount my ntsf partition
I compiled ntsf read support in the kernel soo thats no problem when I boot I get a message that the kernel doesent support ntsf whats up with that???

Then when i try to manually mount it in root it says the same thing
here is my fstab

/dev/hda6 / ext2 defaults 1 1
/dev/hda7 /usr ext2 defaults 1 1
/dev/hda8 /home ext2 defaults 1 1
/dev/hda1 /fat ntsf ro 1 1
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0

plz help me this is getting really annoying :(

First, It's "NTFS", "New Technology File System"... :p
Then, I think it's called "vfat" in linux...try vfat instead, if that doesn't work, try "ntfs".

Not /dev/hda1 /fat ntsf ro 1 1

But /dev/hda1 /fat ntfs ro 1 1

NTFS
