Place New Application in Gnome Menu?

So I just installed Cheops the networking proggy.
How do I place it in the menu under applications? etc etc

oops, that is. If you dont log in as root for your desktop and the app. has to be root to run. I didn't see an flags for su -c ,allowing the command to run as root without the prompt for a password .Maybe I will just make a script that will su to root, call the program and then exit?

SOME programs, (disclaimer) will allow you to make a symlink for the user, owned by root, but with the user in root's group, and run just fine. I wish Grio was one of them.
