I just tried Sus 7.3 LiveEval and it was awesome ( as long as desktop goes). Suse is now offering ftp downloading. But they only allow one to download the directory strucutre other than a bootable .iso. So how do I make a bootable CD from it? If I can't or don't have to. How do I install from that?

If you download the suse 7.3 in "iso", you will need the nero and do burn image, and he records directly for the cd, but if you don't have cd-writer you can use a program like isobuster and decompress the "iso", but this are tools for windows, i don't know anyone for linux.Sorry
Hasta! :)

You say that suse 7.3 is cool, humm! I use 6.3 and i was thinking to install 7.3. But the programs that i have in suse 6.3 does they work in suse 7.3, like, xmms, aplications for kde and X11, do they work?
Thanks

Yes. They do. SuSe uses KDE as default. And KDE sure did a grant job to make the UI as easy (similiar) as Windowz. Though I don't care for KDE too much, I had to say, they really impressed me this me in terms of usability. Even the GUI burning program KOnCD was include. man!

Unfortunately you can't make bootable cds from the folders that Suse has on their FTP site. Those files are meant for installing suse via the ftp method. If you do not have high-speed internet it could take a long time. I posted a similar thread a few weeks ago and those that responded it took them 5+ hours to install. There is a help file on the Suse site that tells you how to do an ftp install. I will probably try it in a week or two myself.

This is not the first time that i take some distro from suse ftp server, what i do is to burn a cd and then i do a boot disk, so far it has worked. If you have a modem, you will probebly spend a lot of money in telefone builds, or you could wait for those linux magazines that offer the new distros.
