I'm wanting run processes on different hosts, but I'd like to login to a system that isn't being used. I'd rather not hog someone's processor. How can I tell what hosts are being used? And, how do I find out what user is logged into a certain host?

Try using 'w' or 'who'. 'w' will also tell yyou the load averages on that computer.
