I have a Dell Inspiron 8100 with a Lucent winmodem (it's the internal modem). I have RedHat 8 installed on my laptop. My modem is not installed or configured I think. Can someone tell me how to configure RedHat to see my modem so that I can use it to connect to my ISP. Thanks.

www.linmodems.org (I think... dunno. I only buy hardware modems).

Lots of hits with this JL forum search for 'lucent redhat' (http://justlinux.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=771301&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) of which you may find some that tell you exactly what Lucent package to download and install for Redhat and how to configure.
