NFS Image installation

Hey Guys !


I was wonderin what the NFS Image installation option is . Can somebody help me ?
The problem is actually that i dont seem to get any linux distro good installed ( except redhat which i dont want ) i have another computer connected which is running win2000.Can i install files which are saved on that computer with this option ?

B4 we go any further can I ask exactly what you don't understand re: NFS?

If you can set up an FTP server and your installer has an option for FTP install, you might be able to pull that off... Otherwise I'm not aware of any NFS server solutions that don't cost a whole hell of a lot more than just buying a boxed set(or three) of what ever distribution you want to try.

if you want debian, what you can do is to install the base system through floppy. once you have that running, install samba so you could read off the windows partition and install the files you need.
