I am using Red Hat 7.2 and I know they have rpms out for a new kernel update to fix the ptrace issue in the older kernels. I usually build my own kernels but I am hesitating now since Red Hat uses ext3 by default. This is very nice by the way. So my question is how can you build a kernel with ext3 support and if you have done so already how is everything working. Just wondering since the rpms on red hat's site are for the 2.4.9 kernel it looks like and I would like to get to at least 2.4.10 since this kernel had a lot of fixes to it. Thanks.
