Hi
I use IceWm... how do you go about adding a program shortcut on the desktop?
And how do you add a program with its arguments onto the desktop.
Please help, newbie here.

With KDE you right click on the desktop and then select 'Create new' and then 'Link to application.
Does IceWM have the same?

9.6 Can I have icons on the desktop? (http://www.icewm.org/FAQ/IceWM-FAQ-9.html#ss9.6)
since a lancher or link would be the product of an icon, you will need to run an extra application to facilitate that, like rox, gdesklets, karamba, idesk
i've used idesk in the past and rox for that matter, both work well, but you will need to be willing to edit some config files

Hi
Thanx guys...
Mdwatts, guess that can't be done in Icewm. Too bad. That would have eased out a few things.
dkeav, well, thanx for putting up the link too. Didn't know of the site.
Merci again...
