After I installed mandrake 7.2, I could not mount the cdrom. It stated that I did not have permission. I checked in the fstab file, and evidently mandrake defaults as supermount. How do I change this back to normal, and what is the URL for the device?
Thanks.

LM 7.2, uses supermount for removable media, including your cdrom drive, you do not have to take care of mounting/umounting it , now you can use cdrom drives, just like in windows, ie. $cd /mnt/cdrom - you 're in the cdrom directory,
the system default url(...rather path) for your cdrom drive is '/mnt/cdrom' - but you can alyaws change it, in your /etc/fstab, anyway be sure what you are doing , because mandrake tuned apps , like rpmdrake, urpmi seem to give problems (unless you are ready for lot of script editing), if you change the default path ie. '/mnt/cdrom'

Supermount is in your startup and with MD 7.2 it is a messup every time you boot up, as far as the cdrom is concerned, which MD have acknowledged.
I got sick of trying to get a permanent fix for the problem (I bootup each day) so I just reinstalled as expert and "unselected" supermount on the way through, no problem with cdrom since
