Hello everyone,
I used to use Suse 8.2 until I saw slackware 9.1. I used suse because it was easy and I loved YaST2. Now I use slackware mostly but I would like to get Yast on there somehow. I tried this by installing Suse 8.2 over my slackware. I only installed some libs and yast. This worked pretty well but the Suse.config didn’t work. (I probably just didn’t install it). There were other problems though, like XFree was messed up and slackware wouldn’t go into x, it just shot up errors about files not being there, or the wrong version and stuff.
The reason i like Yast is because its just really fast to do some quick tweaks. I could do this through config files but that takes a whole lot longer. It would be really sweet to have a fully functional Yast on slackware. If anyone knows a good way to do this please respond! Thanks guys!!
